AOT offers Support

Educational Therapy Managers

AOT’s approach is shaped by professionals with deep expertise in school-based therapy. Our team are clinicians themselves and provide ongoing mentorship, clinical guidance, and practice-based support to help therapists navigate the unique demands of pediatric and educational environments.

We’re committed to supporting clinicians throughout their careers with accessible and communicative leadership, collaborative problem-solving, and continuous professional development!

AOT provides a structured Mentorship Program for school-based therapists at every stage of their career from recent graduates and clinicians new to educational settings to experienced professionals seeking to refine their expertise.

Our mentors personalize guidance to strengthen evaluation and treatment planning, therapy documentation, IEP collaboration, and effective school-based service delivery.

Therapists may be matched with experienced clinical mentors who offer practical insight, collaborative problem-solving, and the right balance of support, autonomy, and professional growth.

Get rewarded for growing the AOT team. Our Therapist Referral Program provides bonus incentives for referring qualified school-based Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapists (PT), and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP).

Referral opportunities are available for full-time and part-time positions across Pennsylvania.

AOT equips therapists with comprehensive clinical tools and professional resources to support high-quality school-based services.

Through our close collaboration with Austill’s, therapists benefit from thoughtfully developed materials and practice supports designed to enhance service delivery throughout the school year. Our administrative teams work continuously to expand and refine resources that help clinicians succeed in educational settings.

Therapists also have access to continuing education opportunities focused on pediatric and school-based practice.

Empowerment

Work-Life Balance: School Hours, No Weekends

At AOT, we recognize that work–life balance is essential. School-based therapists benefit from consistent daytime schedules aligned with the academic calendar including no evenings, weekends, or holiday shifts typically required.

Compared to many clinic or medical settings, school-based practice offers greater schedule predictability, supporting a healthier balance between professional responsibilities and personal life.

AOT connects therapists with school-based opportunities close to home, helping reduce commute times and support stronger connections within the school communities you serve. Local placements promote continuity, collaboration, and a more balanced daily routine.

Our school-based assignments offer exposure to diverse student populations and age groups, from early childhood programs through middle and high school settings providing clinical variety and meaningful professional experiences.

Through the combined strength of AOT and our sister company Austill’s, therapists benefit from enhanced placement flexibility when life circumstances change, allowing for adjustments that support both career stability and personal needs.

At AOT, therapists are empowered to take an active role in guiding their school-based therapy careers. Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapists (PT), and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) have the flexibility to shape schedules, explore diverse caseloads, and pursue placements aligned with their strengths and interests.

Whether working with early childhood students, specialized populations, or a variety of age groups, therapists gain meaningful professional experiences within supportive educational environments.

Master Therapists Program at AOT

AOT’s Master Therapist Program supports experienced school-based Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapists (PT), and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) in expanding their clinical expertise and pursuing leadership opportunities.

Through this pathway, seasoned clinicians can provide mentorship, support peer development, and contribute to clinical excellence within educational settings.

The program is designed to help therapists strengthen leadership skills, share best practices, and play an active role in fostering professional growth, all while continuing to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes.

AOT provides experienced clinicians with opportunities to supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) within school-based settings. These collaborative experiences support the development of leadership, mentorship, and clinical supervision skills.

By guiding and partnering with therapy assistants, school-based Occupational Therapists (OT) and Physical Therapists (PT) strengthen their ability to deliver coordinated, effective services in educational environments.

AOT offers structured fieldwork supervision opportunities for student clinicians pursuing Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) degrees. School-based therapists play a vital role in guiding future professionals through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences in educational settings.

Serving as a fieldwork educator allows clinicians to provide mentorship, model best practices, and strengthen their own expertise in pediatric and school-based therapy.

Supervising a clinical student is also an opportunity to pay it forward, helping shape the next generation and invest in the future of the therapy profession.

AOT supports therapists in expanding their professional impact through opportunities to share expertise and lead presentations. Clinicians may contribute to peer learning sessions, school staff trainings, and educational workshops focused on therapy strategies, assessment practices, and school-based interventions.

These experiences help therapists strengthen leadership and communication skills, enhance their professional presence, and contribute to a collaborative culture of learning within educational environments.

Therapists interested in advancing their careers will find meaningful leadership and management pathways at AOT. We support professional growth by creating opportunities for experienced clinicians to transition into supervisory, administrative, and program leadership roles within school-based therapy services.

AOT is committed to fostering internal development, recognizing and elevating therapists whose expertise, initiative, and dedication strengthen our clinical and educational partnerships.
